We would like to share our experience with real estate agents Mrs. Joanne Ho and Mr. Sunny L.
We came across Jo & Sunny, when their team were promoting a new launch property through a door-to-door marketing campaign in our HDB block, around end of 2018. At that time, we were not having any property plans. Jo & Sunny, came across as unassuming agents keen to partner and guide us on our Real estate journey, rather than just a buy-and-sell agent. In our initial non-obligatory discussion, they were very patient and earnest in explaining real estate as a part of investment portfolio, different property types in Singapore and sharing property market insights from the past. Though we didn’t progress further at that time, Jo & Sunny remembered to keep in touch with us and used to update on the property market trends.
A year later, when we wanted to make a move, Jo & Sunny came as our natural choice. Right from our first note to meet, they displayed exemplary professional service on setting up meetings, explaining the associated laws and regulations, getting the required agency forms signed and more over making themselves readily available to clarify any queries from our side. They collected the wish list for our new home and worked on them to come forward with their recommendations. The most we liked is the personal touch they added in their guidance, mainly on sitting with us and working out the financials – to arrive at the sale value of our property, to establish our budget needs for new purchase, and on the selection of the project that have intrinsic potential to appreciate in our investment horizon. Decision was to sell our HDB and buy an Executive Condominium which has just reached MOP status in our area of choice.
Jo & Sunny are really customer centric as they could easily relate to our family needs and schedule the viewing and other appointments without disturbing our work and our kids’ enrichment class schedules. Jo & Sunny established a clear communication channel from the beginning, a WhatsApp group, and it served as a pretty good sound board to share, clarify and communicate. Any changes in the appointments were clearly communicated and handled without any discomfort to any of the involved parties.
We feel it is quite important to mention their marketing efforts to sell our HDB unit. The efforts taken for electronic media presentation of our HDB unit is commendable. Re-arranging the furniture in attractive layouts, really made the unit look attractive in the web portals. Even during the viewing, I could see them politely addressing the negatives in our units and enthusiastically highlighting the positives of our unit. Regular follow-ups after each viewing, status of the progress made with each interested party, their agents, were shared. We really appreciate the level of transparency shown in sharing the honest feedback from parties who walked out, that really make Jo & Sunny stand apart from the rest. It was a buyers’ market but still we could sell our unit in our target price range within 2 months of listing, thanks to Jo & Sunny, for their dedicated efforts!
Jo & Sunny played a great role in selecting our dream home. They acted earnestly and were sincere in the entire process, attending the viewings, noting down the plus and minus in each unit, giving their honest suggestions after each viewing, giving us time and space to think over and acting on our behalf in making the offers and negotiations. One example to cite will be when we come across a mid-floor unit which we were quite keen, but had a view open to the garbage collection center, Jo & Sunny decided to help us by casually walking with us around the place to know if any foul smell is possible to reach the unit. Indeed, we walked to a neighbor downstairs to casually enquire on the same. Also walked around the neighboring HDB blocks to check if there is any other garbage collection center facing our interested unit. Frankly speaking, this speaks volume of the sincerity they attach to their profession and we were only glad that we have them acting for us in our important decision.
Once we decided on our unit, they clearly outlined the timeline on our financial obligations, with references to legal, banking, contractor references. While we had to move-in to our new home during COVID-19 circuit breaker time, we were able to do it without any stress or worries, as Jo & Sunny were always there to sort out any hiccups. They coordinated well with both buyer and seller agents and made the entire process a very pleasant experience.
Jo & Sunny came across as a perfect team, who could be trusted with your real estate decisions. They acted as single point of contact in guiding their client through the entire process keeping their clients’ needs and budgets as their top priority. If not for Jo & Sonny’s guidance, we would have moved from our 4 room HDB unit to a 5 room HDB unit or to an older private condominium. We have now moved to our new home and started enjoying the comfort and convenience of a relatively young project and are appreciative for all the guidance and support rendered to us over the past year. We will be extremely happy to refer Jo & Sunny to our friends and families. Our suggestion for anyone who is not certain with their real estate plan is to have a discussion with Jo & Sunny at least once.
